Just a little bit of gorgeous for you tonight. I'm dirt tired, feet hurt, and have to get up early tomorrow morning for a family shoot swap with a photographer friend..... and what am I doing? Sitting at my computer blogging a gorgeous bride, that's what. This gorgeous bride happens to be my cousin, and she's just plain beautiful.
I think she's pretty darn fierce. I'll share more of her crazy pretty wedding soon.
Saturday morning we all got up bright and early to head over to the Mesa Temple for Spencer and Robin's Sealing ceremony. Robin's grandfather was able to officiate over the Sealing, and his words of wisdom and encouragement had that much more meaning for them. After they were done, we all waited outside for them to make their appearance.
I love whoever thought of bringing the drinks!

Our family has always been very tight, but the younger siblings have such a bond. It was a very emotional day for all of us, but I think a little more so for them.
My mom's sisters came down from Idaho.
Afterward we all headed back to the church for a luncheon with yummy Cafe Rio Style burritos and icecream. Mmm.
After a couple of speeches and a group "Aloha" we sent them on their way.
Spencer and Robin, I love you guys so much! It was so fun to document your journey from engagement to wedding day! We'll all miss you when you move to Idaho for school, but I know you're going to have a blast up there. Just let me know when its time to do some maternity and newborn shots for ya!

I was out of town most of last week, and I'll be out of town again starting tomorrow for another week, so I'm frantically trying to get everything done before I go. Top on my list, blogging about Spencer and Robin's wedding day so that family and friends can see. It was such a fun, stressful, crazy day! Both families and some great friends put the reception together, and it turned out pretty great! The reception was friday, July 18th and the actual wedding was saturday the 19th. So on friday we started out with some great light for portraits.

We didn't get a lot of time for the family pictures since we had to get finishing touches put on everything for the reception, but it was fun to get what we did!

The reception had a fun tropical theme with everything from a shipwrecked boat to todem poles to little sharks swimming around in vases. They built two cabanas from bamboo poles which were pretty cool too!
You've gotta love a reception where half the guests are in shorts! These guys cracked me up!

The night was super fun, but we all had to go home and get to be because Spencer and Robin still had to get married in the morning!
Nope, I'm not having twins, but I know that thought crossed at least two minds out there! My brother Spencer is getting married first thing in the morning, but they had their reception tonight. Both moms showed up in the same shirt, Robin picked out the shirts for the dads, and well, mother nature took care of the matching receding hairlines..... so they were total twins tonight. This image cracks me up! Can't you just see a future of being cruise buddies for these guys!?!
I have tons of images that need to be shared, but it'll have to wait til tomorrow. I'm sore from my head to my tippy toes and I'm racing to my bed right now! Later!

We walked around the temple and froze ourselves before the ceremony. But they managed some good looks through the shivers!
I loved the way the snow looked on the steps behind them. And the sun had come out so we were almost warm. Well, not really.
Since we got so many images of Matt and Lisa at our warm and sunny session in Mesa, we just took a few portraits of each of them.
When we could no longer stand it, we hurried indoors. Well, they did, I lagged behind a little for this shot. But I think it was worth it!
When Matt and Lisa came out of the temple after the ceremony, they had some adoring little fans waiting for them. So cute!

We had to wait for some other couples to finish taking their group pictures (there are only a few areas good for group shots that weren't under 2 feet of snow!) While we shivered in the freezing wind, I caught this one of Lisa and Matt keeping eachother warm! So sweet. I am impressed with how patient everyone was in such cold weather!

We trudged up the hill for these shots. The snow looks deceptively pleasant! I wish I could say I took these from the safety of the parking lot, but no, I had to trek in the snow too. And I didn't have enough time between the ceremony and shooting these to change back into my warm shoes- so all of these were taken in my high heels. Can you say frostbite?
I caught these two shots as they were walking further up the hill. I really love them!
I'm not sure, but I think Matt is trying to get me to walk faster. Ice had clumped under the balls of my feet (thanks to the high heels!) and my feet had completely lost any good feelings. Needless to say, I literally couldn't walk, and they had to pull the car around and pick me up! The parking lot wasn't huge either. Sacrifice for the art, man!
At the reception they had the cutest little cupcakes that Lisa's sister made! Talented girl!

Matt was trying to tell everyone that cake was now in his brain. I'm not kidding, that's what the boy said!
Matt and Lisa shared a slideshow of images, which was pretty funny. Matt is an avid hunter and as the slideshow progressed it became more obvious just how much time he spent hunting. This is basically how the slideshow went....Picture of Lisa playing volleyball, picture of Matt with a dead animal, Lisa with friends, Matt with a dead animal, Lisa going to college, Matt with a trophy....next to a dead animal.... So glad noone from P.E.T.A. was there!

I shot Samira and Taylor's wedding a couple of weeks ago, and I am just getting around to popping the images up on the blog! Samira and Taylor are such a great couple. Both have such kind and fun personalities, but I must say that Samira just blew me away. She is a beautiful person at first look, but once you get to know her, the depth of her beauty and personality knock you over and you can't help but love her! If she wasn't marrying Taylor I'd marry her! Well, not really, but I'd try to get one of my brothers to! Anyway, let's get to the images.....

I got my first wedding album in this week, and it is BEAUTIFUL! I am so proud to be able to offer my clients custom designed albums that display their images in such a gorgeous manner! The design process is so much fun, especially when the client takes as much pride and interest in the process as I do!

I am so excited to deliver this to my bride, and I know she is excited to see it! I love this profession, it is so satisfying to produce images and products that will continue to bring happiness, and memories for years beyond their creation. I hope this couple's children will look at this album years from now, and be able to feel the excitement and love that abounded the day their parents got married. How many other careers offer that kind of satisfaction!
I have been trying to get this wedding posted for a week, and I finally have a moment. You may remember Tiffany and Darin's engagement session and couple of months ago. These two are so fun and genuinely nice people. It was so fun to be there on their day. They are such good sports and rolled with everything that happened that day, including the spray painted grass at the country club! Tiffany and Darin, I hope you enjoy this sneak peak of your day!
