E-Session

I had a really fun Engagement Session on New Year's Day. We went down to Arizona State University and walked around campus for awhile. The first thing he said to me was "I'm going to be your worst subject." I think he did great! Here are a good cross section from the session. There are a lot. I need your feedback as well, what processing techniques are working/not working for you on the images and why? I love them all, duh, or I wouldn't process them that way, but I'd love to get feedback from you on what you do or don't like! You can comment on processes done on previous posts as well. One other question I'd love feedback on.... Do you like the white border around the images I've done in the past or the images without borders on this post? I can't decide if I like them or not! Thanks in advance for the feedback!!

As hard as she tried, her smile kept sneaking out!  It's o.k. when you have such a beautiful smile!

I will hopefully post soon on the fun trip my family took to Park City, Utah. It was a blast!

Matt & Lisa

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session for my cousin Matt and his fiance Lisa. I haven't had the chance to get to know Lisa very well, so I was so happy to be able to spend some time with them and get to know her. I have to say, she is awesome, and such a great match for Matt! He is such a ham, she rolled right along with him, laughing at him, and reigning him in when needed!! Here are some of my favorite shots from the session, there's lots.  And of course there has to be a little texture magic mixed in!

Matt and Lisa are getting married in February up in Manti, UT. I know it will be a beautiful wedding and I am so excited to be there to capture the day!

Recent E-session

I had a great time with Tiffany and Darin last week at the Mesa LDS Temple. They are such fun people to be around, with personalities that seemed to compliment one another perfectly. I love engagement sessions for one simple reason....they are filled with so much love and expectation. I think they are just as important as the actual wedding pictures. Love is still new and exciting, the anticipation of the wedding day is in the air and moods couldn't be lighter. I can't help but giggle....yes giggle, as childish as the word implies.... as I look through my viewfinder and capture moments of laughter, love, silliness, seriousness, emotion and joy. Darin and Tiffany can attest to my giggling, that I am sure. It simply makes me happy to capture images of happiness, especially at such an important milestone in life. Photography is to me, the most rewarding job in the world- of course after that of wife and mother! Tiffany and Darin, I look forward to your wedding day, and catching more beautiful moments for you!
